Justin Hood, English Star Makes Darts History at Ally Pally

Justin Hood delivered a historic performance at the World Darts Championship, crushing Josh Rock 4-0 in the last 16.
The Englishman landed 11 doubles in a row, producing one of the tournament’s greatest displays.
Hood was perfect on doubles at 11/11 while leading 3-0 in sets and 2-0 in legs.
He came within one dart of a flawless match, narrowly missing double 16.
Despite that miss, Justin Hood broke a PDC record previously held by Jonny Clayton.
Clayton had set the mark with 10/11 doubles in the 2021 World Masters final.
Record-Breaking Accuracy on the Big Stage

“It’s not a fairytale. I know what I can do,” Justin Hood said after the match.
The Alexandra Palace debutant admitted the pressure briefly crept in near the end.
“The only nerves were when I was throwing to win it,” he added.
Justin Hood described the reaction as overwhelming after years of criticism online.
Rock Overwhelmed as History Unfolds

Josh Rock pushed Hood early, forcing deciding legs in the opening two sets.
However, he lost both as the crowd sensed something special.
Justin Hood dominated the third set 3-1 and surged ahead in the fourth.
After missing D16 on a 143 checkout, he recovered to seal victory.
He finished the match with an outstanding 12/16 success rate on doubles.
